Megan Jackson and Brandon Hoffman’s wedding in Pittsburgh was a dream long in the making. Set against the backdrop of the historic Epiphany Roman Catholic Church and the elegant Power Center Ballroom at Duquesne University, their special day was a beautiful culmination of years of anticipation. Their love story began in medical school, where it was clear to both families that this day was destined to come.
My first encounter with Megan was at her twin sister Nicole's wedding in June 2019, where I had the honor of being the photographer and Megan was the maid of honor. I then had the pleasure of photographing her sister Brittany's wedding in June 2022, followed by Brittany’s twin, Kristin’s, wedding in May 2023. Yes, you read that correctly—four weddings across two sets of twins! and we had the joy of capturing every moment!
For Megan and Brandon’s wedding, they stayed at the Pittsburgh Marriott City Center, conveniently located just across the street from the church. This proximity made it easy for the bridal party and guests to move between venues. The ceremony, part of a full Catholic Mass, took place at Epiphany Church, and the celebration continued just a block away at the Power Center Ballroom on Duquesne University's campus. The closeness of these three locations was a benefit for everyone involved.
As the ceremony concluded, we headed outside to board the shuttle bus for photos, only to see very dark storm clouds gathering on the horizon. We managed to take a few shots before the rain began, and just as we anticipated, a downpour followed shortly. Despite the weather, Megan and Brandon braved the rain for some charming umbrella shots in the city streets. The rain let up just as we reached Duquesne’s campus for photos at the fountain and made it back to the Power Center Ballroom in time for the evening’s festivities.
Their reception was a lively celebration filled with dancing, laughter, heartfelt toasts, and joyful tears. Guests enjoyed a delectable dinner, a classic Pittsburgh Cookie Table, and a delightful ice cream cart from Bruster’s. The day was a perfect reflection of Megan and Brandon’s love and joy, and it was an honor to be part of yet another memorable Jackson family wedding.
