For my 20th year in a row, I am excited to announce my 2024 holiday sets! I have not missed one holiday portrait season since I started my business in 2004 - so for my 20th year I went even bigger than usual, with SEVEN set options plus a bonus outdoor set too! My first set, and personal favorite this year is my "Vintage Vibes Holiday" set. You do not need to coordinate clothing to be vintage themed, but I decided to do so in this sample shoot shown above. I love the colors I chose for her outfit, but I also think many others would work great here too - including dark red, maroon, black, dark greens, tan and even pops of cream/off-white. I think you could add hats, scarves, jackets - or could go elegant with dresses and suit jackets!
Set 2 is called "Marshmallow Pajama Fun" because it is meant to be a fun cozy set. I'll have marshallows to eat, throw at each other, throw and catch in the air, and eat out of the Santa mugs. (I'll skip the real hot cocoa by the way, to keep outfits and sets clean!) I encourage cozy outfits, pajamas, or anything super holiday related like Santa prints and more.
The third set, called Pink Winter Wonderland, is a tribute set this year. A dear friend of ours, and our go-to makeup artist at the studio, Lisa Johnson passed away this year. Lisa always decorated her home in pinks for the holiday and shared her beautiful home photos online. I always was inspired by Lisa's style and wanted to do a holiday set in her honor this year.
Set four is a close favorite for me this year, tied for the first set above. In fact, its really the same set with just some elements removed, like the couch and the deep red colors. This set is still vintage inspired, but more of a modern minimalist twist! You could wear almost any colors on this, and go casual or dressy. I would love to see some silver sequin dresses, gold glitter, or white fur coats on this set!
Set number five is a set for interactive play, this one will incorporate the window light (its a real window) as a backdrop and the trees empty - ready to be decorated. This is a great set for children who need to keep busy for the photos, or families who want more candid photos. You can wear almost anything holiday related for this set to look great!
Set number 6 is an oldie but a goodie. I will never NOT do a set with holiday lights.. This year I am keeping it simple with less props in the light set, and just LOTS of beautiful glowing light strands! Its always a personal fave and I will always keep this set year-to-year! Any clothing works amazing for this set!
Set number 7 is a repeat as well - but oh so popular! Many of my clients have enjoyed the fact that they can do one set with a holiday look, and one set for the back of their Christmas card with a New Year's Eve photo! this year the set will have more disco balls! I have purchased six more! I can't wait to see how it turns out, for now here are some examples from the last few years of this set!
Our outdoor holiday option this year is downtown Greensburg, just about a 5minute drive from our studio! If you're interested in doing an outdoor session like this, just inquire for dates available!
