FEBRUARY PORTRAIT SPECIAL 2026

Each winter I run a February family portrait special. This might seem like an odd time of year to get a new family photo - but I actually love it. There are a lot of reasons you can take advantage of this month for an updated photo of your family.

• There is not a lot happening this month, easier to schedule your family when you don't have the hustle and bustle of summer or right before Christmas.
• If your kids are a little older, you can absolutely use the photo taken in February for your next holiday card 10 months down the road because they won't look much different. So you can check one thing off for next holiday now.
• Take advantage of a great opportunity to get a family portrait done for the purpose of just that - a new photo for your wall. its not all about the holiday card, so you can wear anything you want, seasons don't matter.
• Late winter is a great time to sit down to review your photos and redecorate your house/walls with new canvas or framed prints.
• This is the one time of year we offer full hour portrait sessions at a discounted rate.
• Outdoor photos on the beach, in the fall, or a flower field are gorgeous - no doubt. We love those too. But most families have been focusing on those nature locations for the last ten years of trending portraits. I love the idea of taking it back to the classic studio sessions, which really focus on faces and personality, not flowers and golden hour glow.
• Its a great time of year to capture milestones, the start of the new year, and focus on the ages of your children in 2026.
• Photos will be ready for Mother's Day and Father's Day - perfectly setting up portrait gifts for grandparents.
