In 2025, I toured the Amalfi Coast of Italy with this amazing group of individuals! A concept born out of conversation with Cindy from Toukan International Travels over a year prior to this trip, and now the adventure has come and gone. It was a wonderful time with so many amazing people. Follow along below through the journey of photos to read about some of the fun days we had in Sorrento, Capri, Positano and more!
As you scan this blog of photos, take note of the moments captured. This is my goal of the trip! To follow along the travelers, capture the memories and give some helpful instructions along the way as well.

Beautiful Sorrento! our home base!
After flying into Naples, our car service transported us to our amazing hotel with views of the sunrise over Mt Vesuvius every morning.
Staying in Sorrento, Italy feels like living inside a postcard, where lemon-scented air, pastel buildings, and sweeping views of the Bay of Naples set the tone for everyday life. Perched on dramatic cliffs above the sea, Sorrento offers the perfect balance of relaxed coastal charm and easy access to iconic destinations like Capri, Pompeii, and the Amalfi Coast. Days unfold slowly with espresso in sunlit piazzas, wandering narrow streets filled with artisan shops, and lingering meals that stretch into golden evenings. It’s a place that invites you to slow down, savor each moment, and fall effortlessly in love with southern Italy.
The four star Hotel Minerva was perfect - the staff, view, pool, deck, rooms, and food were all outstanding.

A private boat tour around the island of Capri was one of the highlights on day 2!

One of my favorite places to eat was Mama Che! Fresh homemade pasta made all day long - the pasta on your plate was just made minutes before cooking. Quite possibly the best I ever had... reminded me just of my grandmother's who was born in Sicily!

The view from our hotel balcony was of the town of Sorrento. I could not get enough of that daily view! Cindy was next door to my room and we had the best time laughing over morning coffee al fresco.

One of my favorite days was the trip down the Amalfi coast by car. We stopped in Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello. Each one so unique and different. I've been to all three before and even returning I found new things to discover. I love this stop at the top of the hill before descending into Positano to see the town from above. Here's a great shot of Jeff admiring that view.

We checked out some amazing old churches that were hundreds of years old! I loved this moment that Dan and Joanne stopped to light a candle and say a prayer. Inside Joanne's bag was a Christmas present for her daughter!

After a hot long day of walking we arrived by car to Ravello and everyone went straight for a table at a cafe. I caught Barb checking out the wine list.
Visiting Ravello, Italy feels like stepping into a dream suspended above the Amalfi Coast, where terraced gardens, ancient villas, and endless sea views create a sense of quiet magic. High above the bustle of the coast below, Ravello moves at a gentler pace, inviting you to linger in places like Villa Cimbrone and Villa Rufolo, where panoramic vistas steal your breath at every turn. The air feels calmer here, filled with music, history, and soft coastal light, making Ravello a place not just to visit, but to truly feel.

As Cindy and her husband Danny were descending the stairs in Amalfi she turned to laugh at one of his jokes, I love this moment right here!

Lifelong friends, Kristina and Sam having breakfast overlooking the view of Mt Vesuvius.

Barb and her lifelong friend Dale enjoying the private boat tour of Capri! She spotted something on the cliff.

Gail and Jeff had their favorite spot at breakfast - the center view.

Along the Path of the Gods - a bucket list hike that people from all over the globe come to do!

Overlooking Positano from the Path of the Gods

The very sweet ending to all! We completed The Path of the Gods!

Lori and Dale were soaking up the sun and memories.

An impressive barista made me a custom latte for Capri

Gail sampling the smells of some local perfumes.

Popular for good reason - a limoncello spritzer!

On a free day for shopping and photography exploration! (everyone bought leather jackets so on the flight home we looked like a biker pack, all wearing our favorite new finds on the plane)

They were strangers on 5 days prior, then Jeff and Dan became lifelong besties on this trip.

Visiting Positano is like watching a painting come to life, with its cascade of colorful homes tumbling down the cliffs toward the sparkling Tyrrhenian Sea. Every turn reveals narrow stairways, bougainvillea-draped balconies, and boutiques tucked into the hillside, all buzzing with effortless Italian style. Days are spent lounging on pebble beaches, sipping limoncello with a view, and soaking in sunsets that glow gold and coral as the town lights begin to twinkle. Positano doesn’t just impress you—it pulls you in and leaves a lasting imprint long after you’ve gone.

Sandy and Tony learned about how to take better photos on their phones in Amalfi, and definitely enjoyed that Capri tour as well!
Visiting the town of Amalfi is a journey into the heart of the coast’s history, where dramatic cliffs meet the sea and centuries-old traditions still shape daily life. At the center of it all stands the iconic Duomo di Amalfi, its striking striped façade and grand staircase drawing you upward into a space rich with mosaics, arches, and quiet reverence. The piazza buzzes with life below the cathedral, blending seaside energy with timeless beauty, and making Amalfi a place where culture, faith, and coastal charm come together effortlessly.

As a wedding photographer, one of my favorite parts to this trip was watching couples who have been married for many years to celebrate and enjoy every moment together!

Sam, Camille and Joanne caught in a happy moment at sea!
