BLACK & WHITE SPECIAL

What is it? 

• We are having a two month special in studio for families for this specific style/look.
• This is a session that focuses on two looks -  Look #1: FUN & LIGHT and Look #2: DRAMATIC & DARK 
• Both color and black and white images will be produced from the session. 
• Your session will include BOTH backgrounds (white and black) so be prepared with outfits for each look.

• The FUN & LIGHT set is a white wall, which we encourage all white attire for. I'll photograph as much fun, big personality shots as I can. • Different combinations of photos will be taken - family group shots, singles of everyone in the family (including individual headshots of mom and dad), singles of children, sibling shots, and each parent with their child alone (mom with daughter, mom with son, dad with daughter, dad with son)

• Pricing is based on # of people in the family, rather than a set time, but most sessions will be around an hour to 90 minutes depending on the number of people in the family. 
• The images are designed to be a perfect collage on the walls in your home. You might like mixing the black background images with the white background images in the same wall collage - much like the style of a checkerboard.  Or, you can separate the looks doing all the white background photos in one area of the home, like your living room. And then perhaps group the black background photos in another room such as the master bedroom.

JUST HAVE A SINGLE CHILD THAT YOU WANT PHOTOGRAPHED? THIS SESSION WORKS FOR YOU TOO!

• Why do a photo session now, mid-winter, without a "typical reason" for getting family portraits done - like making a Christmas card? There are tons of reasons! First of all, if your kids are older than about 2 or 3, you can absolutely do this session in February or March and also use the photos for your holiday card at the end of 2022 - I'd say that is a big win win to be ahead of the game next holiday season!  Second, winter time is a great season to accomplish the photo session of your dreams because there are no holidays or summer vacations to try to schedule around.  Availability in winter is much easier to get in at our studio with more slots than the rest of the year, including weekends. And lastly, special deals are always a good reason!
• Feeling a little intimidated about what to wear? I can help guide you with clothing guides, which are below (finding black and white clothing is as simple as shopping on amazon). I suggest mixing up the textures and patterns, and NOT solid black for everyone or solid white across the board either.  Also, don't match the exact style (don't all wear a button down white shirt).  Its best to mix it up - one person in a plain T, mom in lace, and dad in a velvet jacket for example!  In fact here are a few pinterest boards to help...
