Slavena and Enrico

August 29th, 2014

All weddings are unique. However, Slavena and Enrico had a particularly interesting venue and personal ceremony. I was so grateful for the opportunity to photograph their union at the lovely Victory Family Church and exploring their charming relationship that grew over coffee and faith. We were thrilled to celebrate with you. God bless you both as you begin this wonderful journey of marriage together!

Salvena's 'something blue' came in the form of her beautiful blue shoes.

Meanwhile, Enrico was also getting ready.

The Victory Family Church offered some truly fascinating furniture.

Slavena's youthful makeup look was applied by Secrets Salon.

The guys all share some conversation just a few minutes before the ceremony.

Enrico and Slavena wanted to pray just before the ceremony, so to get around the bad luck superstition of the groom seeing the bride before the wedding, we tied a scarf around Enrico's eyes.

It was a pretty smart way to get around the old tradition.

When Enrico did finally get to see Slavena in her dress, he couldn't hide his excitement.

I wanted to create an image as a tribute to their many dates at the coffee shop.

This photo looks to be more of a movie still than a wedding.

The color scheme of blue and yellow made for some excellent bold looks.

This clever idea for the guests to mad-lib the couples relationship was a stroke of genius!

It's not a wedding reception until someone busts out their breakdancing!

Their relationship started over coffee, so it was only fitting that they had a bariste at the reception!

The rustic venue, The Mayernik Center,  suited the newlyweds perfectly.

This final image taken by Bill, caught a natural sun flare beaming off the Mustang between the tip of Slavena's nose and Enrico's lips just as he kissed her. A perfect compliment to a romantic image. My favorite from the day!

Congratulations Enrico and Slavena! You're a beautiful couple, inside & out!
