FAQ'S
Do you keep the photos private/secure?
Yes, absolutely. I take the utmost care to keep your photos secure and only deliver images in a safe, private way. I do not use images online for marketing, unless the client is hired as a model to do so, or my client has agree to no-face photos. I prefer not to showcase any of my real clients' boudoir photography and let that discretion of sharing be up to my client.
What does a session cost?
You can choose to book by the time slot, I highly suggest 90 mins minimum. You can check out our page here for information.
Do you offer couple's boudoir?
Yes, I do, just inquire and we can talk about it privately. This is a very intimate photography journey to take, and I do not accept every couple's inquiry for this. After a series of questions, I'll determine if I am the right fit for you.
Do you provide outfits?
I do not provide lingerie due to too many size/style requirements that would be needed, as well as sanitizing intimate clothing. However I do have some pieces in our studio closet that you may want to consider like bustiers and some sexy dresses! Just be sure to ask in advance if you want access to those items so we can plan accordingly to have those items clean and ready for you.
Do I have to wear lingerie?
No, you can wear (or NOT wear) anything that you feel comfortable in. For some people, that is a tshirt and underwear. For some women, they are looking for tasteful artistic nudes. If you choose to do this, just let me know and we'll discuss how that works. I can provide robes and other comfort measures to make that a seamless comfortable experience for you.
What do I bring to a session?
Your clothing choices, heels, makeup, hair tools, blotting papers or translucent powder for shine, hairspray, and extra clothing items such as extra underwear in case there are clothing issues.
Do you provide hair and makeup artist?
Yes, I can refer you to an MUA who also does looks with hair for boudoir (not up-do's) who will come to the studio to get you camera-ready in our dressing room. Her fee is paid directly to her.
What is your experience level?
I am a photographer who has been in business for 20 years, and doing boudoir for all two decades. When I began photographing women, it was before boudoir photography had become a trend. I love how accepted and celebrated boudoir photography has become!
Where are you located and what areas do you service?
I do boudoir photography in the Pittsburgh area. To be exact, my studio is located in Greensburg, so I am just outside of the city. My 4000 sq ft studio has A LOT to offer for boudoir. We keep a bed set on rotation, as well as over 40 pieces of furniture including modern and vintage couches and chairs. I have a dressing room (which also doubles for a backdrop sometimes) and all of the comforts you'd need to make your experience a great time.
Have you had anyone unhappy with their photos?
Nope. In 20 years of doing boudoir, I've had nothing but overwhelmingly happy responses. And I mean absolutely beyond happy, not just because they like the photos but because they LOVED the experience. It makes women feel a new sense of pride and excitement for their body that they never felt before. Letting loose of that sexuality is an amazing feeling, something that women often keep hidden and should be allowed to let shine.
How popular is boudoir?
Verrrry popular! Do not have the fear that this is taboo, not accepted, or something only YOU want to try. Many more women than you might think are embracing boudoir photography nowadays. Every woman harbors a hidden sensuality waiting to be unleashed, regardless of age or body shape. I capture images of women to boost their confidence, reshape their perception of their bodies, and give them a special gift for their partners. It brings me great joy to offer these empowering experiences to fellow women.
Can I come with a friend?
I do offer a buddy package where we can shoot each of your photos consecutively. This way, you can be there to support each other, switch in and out of the dressing room, and cheer each other on during your portrait sessions. As one is getting ready into her next outfit, the other is in front of the camera. This is a total 3 hour package.
Do I need to have my own poses, or know how to pose/move my body?
Nope, you can be an inexperienced as they come with posing. I will do all of that, guide you into poses that work best for your body shape, and tailor to your preferences. If you prefer more romantic and sensual, we can do that. If you want to turn it up a notch and light some fire, we can make the poses more sexy.
